The General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Road Safety Police was established to make
the roads of Abu Dhabi a safer and more secure environment for motorists. Our
vision is to reduce the amount of casualties caused by traffic accidents through
thorough research – taking in to consideration the driving conditions, driver error,
weather etc. We aim to increase traffic safety awareness among all road users to create safer highways for all motorists. The Directorate of Traffic and patrol emphasize the need to develop an integrated system to test and apply the best standards and practices that support the operational capacity of the road networks to reach levels of traffic safety on the roads in Abu Dhabi to a level comparable to the best international standards.
